ARod will go into Fenway and do a Boston Massacre III* By the weekend's end, ARod will get his obligatory 50 Home Runs. 2 Home Runs alone will be against Catsup Sock. Varitek and Nixon will retreat to the woodshed with their tails between their legs, and Cheech and Chong will have a pity party. David Wells will just go out and order 5 pizzas for himself.

* Note the first Boston Massacre was in 1770, the second one was in 1978 when the Yankee annihilated the Red Sox in two consecutive series to come back from a 14 game deficit.

I can't imagine many things finer than a redsox sweep this weekend. Knocking out the Yankees would be a slice of heaven her on earth.

I think the reverse will happen....Yankees send the Red Sox packing for the season. Sweet revenge from last year and ARod is going to go beserk...50 Home Runs easy. Also the Indians will have it MUCH easier since the White Sox have all ready clinched.

I doubt Torre is going to play the regulars for more than a few innings if at all. Why risk the injuries?

I disagree because:

(1) The Yankees want to tire the Red Sox and Indians out further.

(2) Players like Jeter, ARod, and Sheffield will want to play and consider it an obligation

(3) Further revenge on the Red Sox

(4) Some players on the Yankees will want to shut Catsup Sock up

Torre doesn't think/operate that way. Some of the regulars may see some time, but only a couple of them will last the game. I'm not convinced Arod will be one of them. We'll see.
