NH Coin Expo and the Counterfeit Detection course

I took advantage of the ANA running this course at the show, and had an enjoyable day looking at a lot of coins. A lot of bad fakes, but some very good ones that would fool almost anyone. Die struck gold is an adventure, to say the least. image

I took this course eons ago, but it was up in the area, so it never hurts to do it again. Mary Sauvain was a great instructor and the off topic conversations were enjoyable as well.

If you didn't take advantage of this course, or the grading seminar that ran today, shame on you!

The N.H. Coin Expo begins tonight with dealer night, and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Stop by and say hello if you are lucky enough to attend.

Sounds like a good show. I didn't know the ANA gave coin courses at local shows. Die struck gold is one of the tricky areas in counterfeit detection.
