I. Can't. Believe. I. Screwed. the. Pooch. on. This. One. :(

Talk about dain bramage. I can't believe I did this.

I won a coin tonight. Only afterwards did I realize that I had stupidly referenced the wrong Krause # when I placed my bid. Naturally I won it.
The coin below is a Maximilian 1 Peso, PCGS AU55. Since I didn't have any Maxamilian pieces, I thought I'd try for this one. When I was deciding my max bid, like an idiot I looked up KM 388 ("Go" mint mark) and not the much more common KM 388.1 ("Mo" mint mark). I'll end up being into the coin for $190. OUCH! At least it didn't go to my max bid...

ATTENTION WHEN BIDDING!!!
That, and late-night and early-morning bidding are danger zones...
I'll honor my bid of course, but I am
pissed at myself.

Don't sweat it ... Learn from it and move on.
DO pay attention to your level of alertness before hitting the "bid" button. Hard lesson to learn.
