Is there an eBay search you've used routinely for some time that shows a drop-off in listings??

I search with this one every night religiously, have for at least 5-6 years. Back in 1998-99 there were between 100-250 listings at any one time and when the market started rolling along that went to between 350-500 at all times.................until just recently. Granted, there might be a bulk lister that posts 100-PR69DCAM's to raise the listings, but I've almost been waiting for this to happen. Over the past year there have been many, many bulk Proof listing and Superior type auction listings that have artificially raised what's been for sale.
Does anyone else have a series they watch, a series that shows a recent plummet??

My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
What I have noticed is that there are usually between 90,000-100,000 listings. It will start off the week in the 90,000 listing range and by the time the weekend hits it's around 100,000. After the weekend flurry it is back down to appox 90,000 again.
Just a short term observation...

97,042 listed as of tonight
Do you have them bookmarked?

i don't know about prices dropping, but from the quality of coins that i see, bidders aren't as selective as me. much of the listings are for generic coins like 1975-date PR69DCAM's which have dropped from close to $25 average to less than $15 average in the past 2-3 years. when something tough shows up it gets bid strong, it's just a matter of quality vs. price driven by demand.
i think a better product was available around 2000 with lower prices and less bidding competition. back then, i had large Excel files that i unfortunately lost to a damaged hard-drive and flawed back-up. i may not remember the coins but i do remember some of the bidders i routinely lost to, some who bid very high on scarce FS dates. they are nowhere to be found now. i would expect that if those collectors were going to sell their coins via eBay, they would be doing so now. certainly they may have sold via another venue, but it just highlights my contention that the scarce date FS coins listed at eBay now are marginal at best, the best coins are..................hiding for awhile.
i would expect to see an increase in listings at this time of year, not a decrease, and steady/climbing prices for the better coins, not high prices for marginal coins.
i'm as much interested in what others have noticed in the past several months for their specific area of interest, like your Washington Quarters. i don't think a search on keywords like PCGS are as helpful because it's such a broad brush. what about individual series'??
