Joe.
It's not keyword spamming if that's what you are selling.

The seller lists PCGS in his auction so that even though it's an NGC coin it will show up if someone searches for a PCGS coin of that date...
Joe.
Here's the question I sent him/her:
Could you help me understand what PCGS has to do with this auction?
I see it listed in many of your auctions, but can't seem to figure out how it fits.

I asked him the same thing last night....
<< <i>What does PCGS have to do with this auction...its a NGC slab? >>
His answer this morning...
<< <i>Nothing- but it is an important keyword so that more people see my item. >>

<< <i>36 pcgs slabs and 14 non-pcgs on the first page so all his coin auctions are not spam. In fact 36 out of 50 are not on the first page alone.Seller doesn't seem to bad to me. >>
I don't care if he keyword spammed ONE auction. If I'm searching to buy PCGS coins on eBay I don't want to see anyone's non-PCGS products. It seems you don't get it..... The rules
are in place so shopping for coins (or anything else) on eBay can be done with accuracy & ease. Keyword spamming is saying "screw you I'm flashing my coins in front of you
whether you want to see them or not."
Kind of weird- I've seen the occasional complaint here of dealers at shows giving collectors a bad time about looking at coins in their inventory. On eBay it seems to be the opposite.
Is it still considered spamming if instead of "PCGS" someone says "NOT PCGS?"
A "PCGS" search still picks it up, but at least you see it in the title.
I've seen that done once in a while.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
that is alledgedly not allowed under ebays user agreement. Just a way to draw people's eyeballs to the auction. A lot of people do it until they get a warning. Then they stop for awhile and resume the practice.

Hi,
It means nothing. I put it there as a keyword so that more people see my item.
Thanks

Honest yes. Does he know he's breaki ng the rules?? Another question.
Is it keyword spamming if you guarantee a cross to PCGS or guarantee a grade at PCGS???
I do that, but ONLY if I will back up my grading or crossover guarantee at PCGS.
