what is the value of the 20 and 50 euro 2002 vatican proof gold coins (Pope JPII)

Hi,

I have no plans of ever selling these items but was curious if anyone knew what they are worth. I paid $2500 US ($2000 euro) for the pair during a visit to Rome.

I plan on giving my 2003 set to family members this Christmas.

All the 2006 Krause book says is
$300 for the 20 euro
$600 for the 50 euro

and $1200 for the 2003 set

but with recent issues I tend not to trust the book.
