SPAM: 1977 BB Complete Set - Experience '77

Link to Auction
It's 1977. Your big brother is blasting "Hotel California" on his new belt-drive quad stereo while a strange musty scent wafts under the door, Mom is reading "The Thorn Birds", big sis carries Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" in her purse and names like Ryan, Schmidt, Rose, Brett and Yount fill the headlines of sports pages that you share with Dad.
1977. Carter's presidency is in full gear, Saturday Night Live is actually funny and in the summer, a low budget space opera quaintly named "Star Wars" debuts.
A little bit of that era has slipped through Time, and it is now available to you for the first time.
This isn't just a beautiful set of cards. It is much more than that. It is a piece of History, a talisman of Time that grows ever distant with each passing day. And it is yours if you are the highest bidder.
!!! It's full of stars !!!
Andre Dawson RC. Nolan Ryan. Johnny Bench. Pete Rose. George Brett. Reggie Jackson. Tom Seaver. Robin Yount. They are all here - and more.
I'm not a professional grader by any stretch but I do follow PSA's guidelines - not Beckett's - because I submit to PSA and understand their system. These cards are solid EXMT to NRMT-MT with a couple better, perhaps one or two worse. Sharp corners dominate this set - and like all late '70s sets - centering varies. However I have seen a lot of '70's sets and this one has better than average centering.
What is the Beckett Value for all this? Does Beckett place a value on memories? History? Nostalgia? I'll leave it to the Invisible Hand of the marketplace - you - to decide.
