This one is not in the greatest of condition (nor is it a very good picture), but it's a special one to me, since it's the only one I've dug while out metal detecting.
It's an 1894-O.
I found it in an old churchyard, a few feet away from where I also found the now-famous Mysterious Ming Medallion.
Next Play should be Barber Quarter or 1896 date. Unless I'm mistaken

I'm going with the 1896 date. If I'm wrong I will delete the images.

I'm sorry but the rules state: "If the last coin posted was a regular-issue U.S. coin, you have to post a coin of the same date OR the same type (NOT just the same denomination). *"
Isn't a Barber Dime the same type as a Barber Quarter?
whatever.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

You are misinterpreting the last part where it means the same denomination is a must.

I think the rules say that the next play has to be of the same type as well, not just the same denomination, correct??

Exactly. The following coin must be either (1) the same denomination and type as the preceding coin, or (2) the same date as the preceding coin.
Edited to add quote of Mozin to make it clear to whom I'm responding.
