I try to use as many picture variations as possible and I think the album pics are cool. In this game, you rarely have time to edit a photo before you’re too late. It’s happened to me a few times And I’m like sh@!
That’s George II, not George III, so your coin there is from 1738, not 1778. The third digit is a flat-topped 3.
Thanks, we got this coin from my wife’s grandmother. It was in a group of family coins that went back to the early 1800s in New Jersey. I never knew for sure, but thought it was 1778

I think 1738 is a fairly common date. That happens to also have been the date on the only King George halfpenny I ever dug here in the US, while metal detecting.
