I'm "singing the blues" this week!

Its just not my week!

1. spent just under $300 on 78 opc wax: close to 100% are extremely off-centered! image

2. my psa 6 card freebie submission was all screwed-up
a/ psa said a card was autographed and tried to charge me an extra $20, plus shipping (was just a printed signature that are on all the topps foldouts). psa goofed-up! image
b/ graded a 1960 earl averill as just a topps. It was a Venezuelian Topps. psa goofed-up! image
c/ three of the six freebie submissions were over-sized. I had to pay over $30 for "round-trip shipping"! But it was a freebie! LOL! I goofed-up! image
d/ my six freebie grades? most of them sucked! ...well, both psa & myself goofed-up there! LOL! image

Well, I'll finish the week "singing the blues" at a Dr. John "Katrina" benefit performance in Palm Beach with the "night tripper from New Orleans".

Well, maybe the blues woun't be so bad after all? imageDR. John (VIDEO!) image

    My (6) PSA freebies:

1983 Topps Foldouts Pete Rose/P. Guerrero PSA 8 (Requested PSA to "add a card" not currently listed to the Rose Master Set) PSA actually tried to say I owe them $20 for "autograph grading", I had to explain to them the signature is printed on all foldouts directly from Topps printers! (PSA blew it!) image
1977 Hostess Seaver/Rose Carew PSA 8 (Another for my Rose Master Set- Should be a nine? - I guess the surface "did me in"?) image
1975 Hostess Campy/Rose/Bell PSA 6 (Wow! "Hand cut" was perfect! - I guess I "screwed-up the surface? - Oh well! I'll use it for my Rose Master Set anyway! image
1981 Squirt #11 Pete Rose PSA 9 (Happy! Another for my "Rose Master"!) image
1981 Squirt #11 Pete Rose PSA 9 OC (Weird! I thought it was "a twin" to the one above!) image
1960 Topps/Venezuelean #39 Earl Averill PSA 1 (PSA Blew it! they graded it as a regular Topps, now I have to send them a scan, and then return the card to be re-slabbed! sucks!) image

Plus, the above (6) "CU freebies" were not so free! Because I send PSA three regular sized cards and three large cards, they "got me" for extra shipping! :l. So my "so-called" six freebies wound-up costing me about $ 30 "round-trip! LOL! Plus I have to send the Earl Averill back to PSA to be re-slabbed! ("mo money!").

I've had more errors lately in my submissions. Also, does anyone at CU answer emails anymore?

It can be very difficult to tell 1960 Venezuelan Topps from 1960 Topps.

I hear ya Nick. But PSA just plain goofed-up! It was for sure a 1960 Venezuelan Topps I submitted for grading!

I wonder what a 1960 "plain olde" Topps Earl Averill PSA 1 is worth? image
