Oh yeah, that's the Phillharmonic right? Do you know if they make that in fractional denominations or just a 1 ouncer?
  • They did made a few 100,000 32kilogram of pure gold coin once image

LOL that's insane! How about the fractionals BELOW 1 ounce? haha
  • Isn't there another one in Africa. Liberia or something like that?

  • I think you can add Republic of Singapore if you like, if you consider the Chinese Zodiac coins a "bullion" coin. image Australia too does mint Chinese zodiac coins... image

I can't think of any other countries at the moment... other major countries such as Russia stopped producing bullion coins ages ago (chervonetz). I am not too sure if Hong Kong still has it though.

The Liberian coins seem to be commemorative in nature instead of a bullion only pupose. I'm not counting the Chinese and Australian lunar series coin because they too are a bit on the commemorative side and both countries have true bullion coins aside from the lunars.

So far this is what I've come up with...

    USA - Eagle
    Canada - Maple Leaf
    England - Britannia
    Australia - Nuggett
    China - Panda
    Mexico - Libertad
    South Africa - Krugerrand
    Isle of Man - Angel
    Austria - Phillharmonic
    Russia - Ballerina
    Czech Republic - Ducat

Edited to add: I realize a some in the list don't make them anymore.

  • Russia doesn't mint those gold Ballerina coins anymore if you realized. image They were last minted in 1995 including the scarce platinum and palladium ones. I kind of miss them though. image

There are recent mintage of such, but that is another story. I strongly believe them to be commemorative coins. If you want Russian gold bullion coins, they are called the chervonetz and were minted during 1923, 1975-1982 Soviet era.

Singapore did horses for a while, didn't they?

  • No that's in 1990 Lordmarcovan.

Here is the link of the whole mintage release by the Singapore mint: MAS

But yes, if you looked carefully, the gold mintage every year has been pretty consistent since 1981. But yes, Singapore gold coins are darn hard to find, forget the platinum ones... Singapore's platinum coins could be said to be one of the hardest to find... I haven't seen a single image of such platinum coins in my life...

  • Slightly out of the question, but has Swiss been minting gold bullion coins?

I know they used to, but I don't see why they wouldn't be minting any right now...
