Qualifier Re-grade

Hi all,

I just got a 52 Bowman Mantle PSA 4 MK. If I sent it back to PSA and ask for a re-grade with no qualifier, does PSA "usually" drop it down by 1 grade or 2?

  • It really all depends on the "damage" from the qualifier. In the case of OC, it may just drop it one grade, however, if the card is really OC, then it could drop it many grades. However, in the case of the MK I've found that it gets that qualifier regardless if you ask for no qualifiers or not.

  • Miscut is miscut. It won't drop to a lower straight grade as it would w/ an o/c.

  • The MK qualifier is for a mark on the card,
not a miscut. I do agree though, a mark is
a mark and it should stay on the label.

Agreed here - that's a qualifier it must have. Even a 1 doesn't allow for markings on a card.
