    How good is your team?

I think that ND would beat Florida State, and I hope the Eagles play the bucs ... if the bucs make the playoffs

If the Falcons could handle the Sheagles like they did the bucs would DESTROY them! Remember the last two times you played up you
couldn't even score on us...its hard to win when you pay a big goose egg!

I would love to say I want the Sheagles very bad in the playoffs, but I really don't, we have already owned you on several occasion. Frankly
there are better teams that would pose a better matchup. But I won't have to worry about that, 5-11 teams don't make the playoffs..even
in that sissy division of yours.

As far as FSU..give them some credit, they are 3-0 with a rookie QB, and have played two tough conference games! Something that hald
the top 20 haven't done. How can anyone talk about how great USC is when they haven't played a real game yet?? We all know they are
    scared to come east.

The only reason most of you are here is because Philly played the sorry Niner's at home. You will have to prove yourself to this forum
by playing and beating good teams. You ain't done nothing yet!

I know, I know ... but the 4 times the eagles played the bucs prior they owned them. And you know what Joe ...

    THAT WAS EONS AGO!!!!!!

bucs are overrated (actually, non existent except on the CU boards) and would not score on the Eagles

People like Lou and Stalin are by no means a typical Bucs fan. We, as a whole, are typically well spoken and we act like we've won games before. Their loud, obnoxious, boorish behavior is a blight on the entire Bucs community. They are currently being looked into, and with any luck, the Bucs nation will boot them out.
  • we speak it real! The nole kickers may have choked in those games. I can attest that to bad luck. But the cowgirls melted!
Eagles got handled by the falcons! They wouldn't want ANY part of the Buc D and Caddy.

It hurts to even think about the bucs and noles taking it all doesn't it?

Do you even watch college football? What team has finished #1 the last two years? Uhm a PAC10 team. Cal? #5 last year (should have been 4).

So why don't you go run to your little bunk bed and come back when you have some maturity and some knowledge.

We opened up against a top 10 team, you all opened up at Hawaii. We will have played maybe 2 top 5 teams and one top10 team when the season
is done and you all won't of even cracked the top 10 in any of your games. Thats pathetic!

    Joe-

I like how you pick and choose what you reply to...why don't you say, right now, whether you'd have new england's 3 3-point wins, or tampa's 1 21 point win?

Why can't you make a choice dude?

Throwdown...sorry thats weak, Teams ranked #1 should be playing top 5 teams not top 25 teams. Its simple, USC is scared to
play good teams. They know that Hawaii and Arkansas will suck so they schedule them. Why can't they come to Florida to
play? CAUSE THEY ARE CHICKEN ****

    You really are a moron:

    September 3 at Hawaii W 63-17 1-0 (0-0)
    September 17 Arkansas W 70-17 2-0 (0-0)
September 24 at No. 24 Oregon 7:00 PM ET Tickets
October 1 at No. 18 Arizona State 3:30 PM ET Tickets
October 8 Arizona 3:30 PM ET Tickets
October 15 at No. 16 Notre Dame 3:30 PM ET Tickets NBC
October 22 at Washington TBA Tickets
October 29 Washington State 3:30 PM ET Tickets
    November 5 Stanford TBA Tickets
November 12 at No. 13 California 3:30 PM ET Tickets
November 19 Fresno State TBA Tickets
December 3 No. 25 UCLA 4:30 PM ET Tickets

Looks like 5 top 25 teams this year.

Compared to the real cupcake scheduling team, FSU:

    September 5 No. 9 Miami W 10-7 1-0 (0-0)
    September 10 The Citadel W 62-10 2-0 (0-0) Div 1-AA!!!
    September 17 at No. 17 Boston College W 28-17 3-0 (1-0)
October 1 Syracuse 3:30 PM ET Tickets
October 8 Wake Forest TBA Tickets
October 15 at No. 23 Virginia TBA Tickets
October 22 at Duke TBA Tickets
    October 29 Maryland TBA Tickets
November 5 N.C. State TBA Tickets
November 12 at Clemson TBA Tickets
November 26 at No. 5 Florida 3:30 PM ET Tickets CBS

So USC plays 5 teams ranked in the top 25, FSU plays 4.

    Who's the REAL cupcake here?

Being the big fan of Tampa Bay that you are, why do you have such a disliking of USC when it was a USC Coach that left that position to Coach at Tampa Bay? In light of the fact that you know so much about College and Pro Football, I am sure you haven't forgotten John McKay was the first head Coach at Tampa Bay.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

  • you can't tell me Clemson and NC State don't desere to be ranked! And they will be! Did we forget the ACC Title game Vs probably Va Tech?

Top Ten Teams(predicting) FSU faces: Florida, Va Tech in ACCCG, and possibly Miami could find there way back in.
Top 25 Teams(still predicting)FSU faces: UF,VT, UM, BC, UVA, NC State, Clemson.

So how many of those teams are not ranked? 5. More than half the teams we face are ranked. If that doesnt get us to Rose Bowl(if we beat them all), than I dont know what will.

What's this about John Mckay? How many winning seasons and super bowls did he take the bucs to?
    Ok

Noles AND Bucs in 05-06...Don't think No different!

John McKay was the USC Head Coach that lead USC to a National Championship in for the 1962 season capped with a 42-37 Rosebowl win against Wisconsin. USC won the Pac8 in 1966, 1967, 1968,1969 and 1972. He had Rosebowl wins against Indiana in 1968 and Michigan in 1970 and I think Ohio State in 1973. Unfortunately, he did not have the same success at Tampa Bay, but they were an expansion team and he did take them to the play-offs and Tampa Bay was a game away from the Superbowl... I just don't recall the year... perhaps 1978. McKay at least was willing to take a big gamble leaving USC to start an NFL franchise... not many coaches can say that and even less can say they were as good as a sportsman as John Mckay. If as a Tampa Bay fan, you are unable to respect one of the key icons responsible for bringing NFL football to Tampa Bay... well, perhaps they should have gone elsewhere.

Tampa Bay made the NFC championship game in 1979 where they lost to the LA Rams, 9-0.

This was an incredible run that spoke volumes about McKay's coaching abilities. The Bucs started the franchise with 14 straight losses in their inagural season, then a year later, they lost their first 12 games to set an NFL record 26 consecutive losses. They won their first game against the Saints.

The expansion days in the NFL in the 70s were quite different than they are today. No expansion drafts, no teams being forced to offer up some of their players...teams were forced to field teams of castoffs and has-beens. That the Bucs were so futile in their first 2 seasons wasn't that surprising, though some of their exploits on the field showed why they weren't NFL players before.

One time asked about his team's execution after one (of many) losses, McKay quickly quipped 'I'm all in favor of it'.

McKay was an incredible coach who was forced out of Tampa by an ownership that seemingly didn't want to win...they sure as hell didn't want to pay anyone any money.

One can only imagine 'what if' McKay had been allowed to build a team with ownership that spent money...I sincerely doubt they would have been so bad for so long if they had.

    Axtell:

The real questions are as follows:

What if John McKay assumed the Head Coaching position of an established NFL Franchise?

What if John McKay had stayed at USC?... (nothing against John Robinson...)

What if he had left USC to coach elsewhere in College Football?

As for the Tampa Bay thing... okay I said 1978 and honestly I could not remember if it was 78 or 79 but I was thinking of the actual season not thinking that the championship game would be in Jan of 1979.
