I finally filled another spot in my World Bear Coin Design Set.

It is the 1988 Turkey 10,000 Lira Proof / Winter Olympics Polar Bear.

The polar bear looks a little funky, but it is a bear.

I also was able to use the $25 ebay coupon to buy it. Did anyone else get this coupon?

In 1981, during the Soviet era, in the Leningrad mint, Russia has minted 200 ruble coins in gold and platinum as trial strikes, and these coins weren't even reported until 2000! Not too sure if Krause has reported it but these are efinately beautiful, except the price tag is a horrible figure.

GX, $20,000....OUCH.....Not going to happen....LOL....but thanks for the pics.

Lord, they are coming really slow now and getting very expensive.
I do have my eye on the Liberia and Netherland coins. Maybe this week.
