PCGS STAR?

This may be a common question, but does PCGS have plans to do a "Star" designation? If so, I have one I want to send in.

    Hi Brian,

    There two trains of thought on star or PQ designations.

    One is that the 11 point mint state grading scale is very precise...much more precise than any other collectible market...and this is about as fine tuned as grading can get.

    The other thought is that all of our coins are acceptable for the grade.

    That said, we listen to the market place and I don't see a lot of evidence that the market place wants a star designation.
