Is a mislabeled card really a RARE PSA error card?

81 red sox rookies

I actually need this card but sold it in a lot of 23 psa cards for $25 to this seller because I couldn't be bothered to get it relabeled. It's amazing some of the creativity that is out there on ebay in an effort to deceive unsuspecting bidders

  • Deceive?

I think the auction clearly depicts what the seller believes the error is. If it sells for more (and I doubt it will), that's just good marketing.

As Baba Wawa would say, "It's weally weally ware!"

  • In defense of the PSA person who labled this card, the players do look like pirates... mustaches and all.

Looks like the seller has revised his listing and no longer is calling this card "rare"

    what he should say is:

here is your chance to own a Psa error card, one in which you can't add to you set until you send it back and have it labeled correctly.

    Good for you.
  • The only PSA mislabel I've had was a 1975 Topps #120 that was labeled as #12. As such, I could only enter it in the set as card #12 (in the old style registry where you entered the card in the actual slot). I found it annoying that they couldn't update their database, but I would've had to send it in. Didn't matter when I upgraded the card anyway.

2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay
  • I can totally see how PSA made that simple mistake. I often try to spell Red Sox and it comes out Pirates....

They're not even in the same league for crying out loud!

    Kudos, unknown PSA grader.
