PSA service - slower than usual??

I submitted 16 cards (on the same submission form) under last month's "tall boy" special. They were received (according to the submission check) on 8/12/2005. Every time i check the status, it just keeps saying "no date specified" as far as grading and returning. Has anyone gotten cards back from this special? How long did it take? I didn't think "specials" took so long.

I have a submission from 8/22 still sitting in there and I have seen others on the board getting faster turnaround. I called customer service and they just said it was luck of the draw. The cards go into grading when received and when they come off the shelf and onto the graders bench appears to be where the luck of the draw comes in.

  • I will never figure out their system. My "tall-boy" submission was received on 8/30 and graded on 9/12.

  • Weell the web site has been acting weird
  • The site HAS been acting strange. My submission for Tall Boys was received on 8-17, and nothing yet. In the past for specials, it's been a week or so,
now it's about a month, and counting?

What might we speculate is happening?

I don't think it's because they're receiving more submissions, with the economy, Katrina, gas prices, etc. Perhaps it has to do with late summer vacations of their graders??? Just a guess.

I think tall boys took a back seat. Mine took over a month to grade. Worse yet, G.O.D. was the grader.

I agree with smallstocks. I think there are much fewer graders that do the tallboys and other specialty cards than the typical issues. I am waiting on 43 tallboys that just made the deadline. Looks like mine are probably last in line and hopefully I can get them ny Christmas.
