tired submission question...

I know this has been asked before but i cant find the answer and even when i did see the answer (months ago) i didnt really understand.

The submission qualification of UNDER $500...what does that really mean? I want to submit a John Elway RC that is imo a 10, which would put it over the $500 limit. On the otherhand if it comes back a 9 its only a $200 card.
Shot at answering my own question----------> If im not mistaken the 500 limit would be for shipping insurance purposes or something along those lines..

Anyhow, Can i submit the Elway card under the $12 special this month or do i have to go a diff submission route?? BTW I have about 10 Football HOF cards (84,85,86) that have superstrong shots at 10's and would like to also submit those.

Thanks
Chuck

  • Submit away!

The value listed is really for insurance in case your card gets lost/destroyed once they leave your hands. Even then, if you put down $500 for a raw Elway RC card (even if it were perfect), you probably would never see that amount if it got lost...

They just don't want you submitting a '52 Topps Mantle on a $5 or $10 service level. It's what the card is worth raw to you. You also are going to specify the insurance limit on the form when you submit which indicates the insured value upon return shipping. Unless you use registered mail, in which case the prices are already calculated on that chart for you.
  • Thats what i thought but just wanted to hear it from you guys.
    Thanks for the replies guys!
