I know it's a little early but what the heck. I may be adding some coins/sets later so check back often. Also check out the quality coins (well, the bulk lot isn't really quality) I have on eBay

Oh, wait, I got them from you.
I think I will save them for Halloween and frighten trick-or-treaters with them.
Sweden in the 18th century was poor in silver but rich in copper, so they struck these giant pieces of copper plate money from 1644 to 1775, by stamping large plates of copper with official marks. The coins were designed to hold an equivalent amount of copper to the silver coins they replaced. Plate money was often exported as bullion but actually circulated in Sweden and Finland for more than a century. This piece is from the Nicobar shipwreck, which sank off South Africa on July 11, 1783, while on its way to India. Most plate money on the market today comes from this wreck. The 1750 2-daler pieces like this one are the most common, but still relatively seldom seen. I bought this at the 2004 FUN show in Orlando, and at the time it was the first piece of plate money I had seen in about 12 years. Catalogs $450.00 in Fine and $600.00 in VF (2nd Edition Krause). Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the salvors of the wreck.
Was asking $365.00- price reduced to $300.00. Trade offers of one to three nice coins may be considered, particularly if they are gold.
1843 Farthing, NGC MS63RB, $85.00
1894 Farthing, NGC MS62BN, beautiful piece, looks proof-like and is hard for me to part with, too! $80.00
1888 Halfpenny, NGC MS64RB, $125.00 (the picture stinks)
1906 Penny, NGC MS62BN, $35.00
Also:
1950 Penny, UNC with staining, $35.00
1870 3d, NGC MS62, $95.00
1893 3d, EF cleaned, very scarce, $90.00
1888 Groat, BU Full Lustre, NGC MS63, $145.00
1862 6d, EF scratches, very rare and key, $400.00
1880 6d, BU full lustre, NGC MS62, $120.00
1954 6d, BU full lustre, $8.00
plus...
1891 Shilling, NGC MS63 with loud toning (coin is darker than picture shows), $150.00
Some highlights:
My standard "this coin is a bit nicer than the crummy scan indicates" clause definitely applies in this case.
I will also be putting up some duplicates from the Holey Coin Vest.
Here's a sneak preview on the Testing Forum.
The coin above, plus some duplicates from the Holey Coin Vest, are now swimmin' in the Bay of E.
Was it just me, or did the forums just crash for the better part of an hour?

My shilling ends on eBay today. I hope there will be some frenzied sniping.
Curses at me who just collect Russian coins...
I honestly like the massive copper plate, lordmarovan. Russia used to do that before by copying Swedish ideas but that too didn't last too long.
