Wanted to share this nice card I picked-up!

Yogi and Campanella, both MVP catchers in 1955! Pretty nice for twenty-seven bucks!

what i like about that subset is how they created a card for guys that did not appear in the particular set.

off hand I remm the 62 wills and this campy. niether were in the original sets. any others from this subset?


that subset is one of my alltime favs.

I think walgreens or one of those type companys made a set like it in the mid 80's they used those cards an transposed them unto another card.

nice way to get a vintage player like mantle etc too

Win - that was the 1982 K-Mart set (using the MVPs from 1962 through 1981). They also created a Lynn card out of his little quadrant.

Yeah, Nick is right, it was K-Mart! ...and I love the set! It was made by Topps for K-mart, issued in 1982. I recommend anyone who has not seen this limited edition set, as I have a bunch of "factory fresh" boxed sets, selling for, I think $2.99 a set. Pick-up a set and you will "have a ball" going through it. A wealth of baseball's greats in a mint set for under $3.00, wow! Buy one and I promise you will thank me! (Do I got a deal for you! LOL!)

In fact, since I'm making next to nothing on these sets anyway, and I guarantee everyone who buys one will be thrilled!
