FSHO: Two 1857 large cents

1857 large date. This coin used to be in a PCGS XF-45 slab (blue label), although it looks more like a VF-35/EF-40 to me. I can't find the insert from the slab, although I still have it somewhere. The coin does have a small obverse spot and a couple of tiny circulation nicks as seen, but it is original and otherwise problem-free. $135 delivered.




1857 small date. AU-55 for detail, with an unfortunate rim ding at 9:00 that will prevent it from slabbing at PCGS/NGC. This coin was from a Pennsylvania collection that was assembled in the 1930's to 1950's. Despite the ding, this coin is much nicer than the one listed above. $200 delivered.

Ya know RHeddon.........That coin is very nice looking and it sux that a little rim ding would keep it from holdering. The coin is 150 yearsd old!
