The bucs D just added Buffalo wings to the menu. Home opener could get very very ugly. Losman better put cement in his helmet because he
is going down. Im evey sitting McGahee on my fantasy sqaud because he is going to get handled too.

Mini may not have had a great D, but tomorrow is when a bunch of people are going to be jumping the bucs ship! This team is for
    real folks!!

  • That game should be close, Buffalo's D looked great too last week. The AFC is better, but since the Bucs are at home, I say it's a coin flip. I went with the Bills after hearing about the DUI in Tampa - it may not hurt the Bucs but it certainly can't help...

I like the Jets, Steelers, and Saints in week 2. Also, the over in the Chiefs / Raiders game.

    Why Carolina over New England?

New England made its adjustments against Oakland at completely shut them down....while Brady looked as rock solid as ever.

Baltimore over Tennessee, just because the Titans are an awful team this year. They need to dump McNair and put Volek in there full time.
TB over Buffalo, simply because the Bucs' D feasts on rookie QBs.
Detroit over Chicago....Bears are dismal offensively, and the Lions were able to contain a much more talented GB team to 3 points.
Indy over Jax...Jax doesn't have the personnel to match up on either side of the ball.
Cincinnati over Minny, Minny looks to be in trouble, and Tice sure as hell doesn't have a game plan...no 'Randy Ratio' to save him!
Pittsburgh is going to destroy Houston. Parker will rumble for another 100 yards and a TD.
SF in a MAJOR upset over Philly.
Atlanta over Seattle...Seattle's in trouble, big trouble.
St. Louis over AZ, St.L has a chip on it's shoulder, and is going to take that frustration out on AZ.
Cleveland over GB...as big an enigma as Cleveland is, GB seems to be going nowhere, and losing their best WR cripples them.
Jets over Miami...Miami had it's super bowl last week.
SD over Denver...Gates is back and pissed.
KC over Oakland...I don't think the game against the jets last week was a fluke for KC's D.
NO over Giants...emotions running high, and it doesn't seem to matter where the Saints play.
Dallas over Washington...the 'skins are in big trouble, and Gibbs refusing to give Ramsey a chance just illustrates how out of touch he is.

    << <i>SF in a MAJOR upset over Philly. >>

I could see this - McNabb isn't entirely healthy, and the game last Monday took a lot out of them. Coming off a short week, and combined with the 49ers not being entirely terrible, this could be the upset special this week.

<< <i>Baltimore over Tennessee, just because the Titans are an awful team this year. They need to dump McNair and put Volek in there full time. >>

Yep, forgot this in my first picks. The Titans are poised to be a 3 or 4 win team this year. Mark it down.

I'm going to disagree here - I like the Skins, but I agree that Ramsey should be the starter. A lot of people will take Dallas in this one, especially since they are going to be retiring some Cowboy numbers at the half and emotions will be running high...but, that's usually when the other team pulls an upset.

And I can't believe in this age of parity, the Eagles have a 13 point spread over the 49ers.
  • I picked Carolina over NE based on the same factors that led to pick SF over STL and Miami over Denver last week - none really made a whole lot of sense but it worked. Houston & Cleveland this week as well have a real shot at upsetting...

edit to add - i am a little worried because i believe the seahawks fit in this mold too.

7-6, why did I pick SF? haha
  • Nice call on Cleveland - that was a pretty big upset, odd-wise.
