OT- Suspended bidder who keeps returning

Does anyone know how to report bidders who have about 30 Ebay accounts that get suspended and keep coming back with new ones? Just getting tired of the same guy who pays for three or four things to start his feedback rolling, and then takes over a month to pay the rest of the sellers (if he pays at all) and then leaves the sellers negative feedback. This guy has destroyed a lot of good sellers perfect feedback and has cost a lot of people a ton of extra money. I think a lot of the people on this board know of one guy in particular by his bidding habits and what he bids on........

  • The guy does actually bid on $1,000.00+ items and pays for a lot of them, then will stiff some poor seller for 15.00 and call them liars, cheats etc. I just want this guy gone for good, but I dont know how to report him to Ebay. It really doesnt matter because the guy will open up an account in a day or two, or use an idle one he hasnt used in a few months. I have personally followed his last 15 ID's (might be more, but these were the obvious ones), and just want to know how to report this kind of activity so I can report him right away, instead of seeing another NARU account after a few weeks and another sellers feedback destroyed.....

One more reason it would be good to require a credit card to have any account (Buying or Selling) on ebay. Although that would cut some of their sales, so that just aint happenin'
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

BBFA - why don't you gather up all the ID's that have been booted and point out to ebay that these are all the same guy. It might help them establish a pattern or something to keep this guy off for good.

    or not.

  • Things like these are why Ebay needs a "warm body" or phone number to report things to. I find the system so confusing on Ebay to report things or find information on reporting things that the frustration level makes me want to give up. The only thing I found was where other Ebay members answer your questions or point you to certain Ebay links. lol Does Ebay have a rigged system or what? I can't believe that they dont even have thier own people there to police things, and even if they did they make it too confusing to report it
  • One more bump because this guy is starting to bid up a storm this weekend

Does he bid on vintage or modern cards. There was a modern collector (or bowman chrome specifically) that was notorious for doing this (and for offering to pay listing fees if the seller would allow him to back out on the transaction). He has been booted from eBay many times, but always comes back.

  • This guy mainly bids on football, vintage and modern, but he also bids on off beat baseball, McFarlane figures, programs, non sports, the whole gammut. I just dont know how to report the S*B because every time he gets suspended, hes back the same day with a new name and 0 feedback bidding on the same stuff....

Unfortunatly all you can do is repeatedly report the ID's as they pop up. eBay will continue to suspend them, but won't do much other than that. If you keep track of all of the suspended ID's, and include them every time that you report a new ID, maybe eventually the person who picks up your report will actually escalate the problem, but don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

  • Where do I report them? Is there a link? Ebays ways of trying to contact people on certain issues border on the ridiculous!

Go to Report another problem -> Problems with Buyers -> Suspended Bidder is bidding under another User ID . You will need the ID's of the new account, the old accounts, and probably auction #'s as well.

At least soon ebay will no longer "count" feedback from users who are naru'd within their first 90 days. That will spoil the fun for losers like him.

BTW, here are the upcoming policy changes regarding feedback:

Below are the changes that we expect to launch later this year:

    1. Removing all feedback from users who are indefinitely suspended within 90 days of registration. Later this month we will begin removing all feedback from members who are indefinitely suspended within 90 days of their registration. As discussed in my June 23 letter, our belief is that members who are indefinitely suspended within 90 days of their registration were never truly members of the Community. Therefore, their feedback should not count.

    2. Requiring new members to complete a tutorial before leaving neutral or negative feedback. In late November/early December we will begin requiring members who have 10 feedback or less to complete a brief tutorial before leaving their first neutral or negative feedback. In addition, we will be updating the current page all members see prior to leaving neutral or negative feedback. The updated page will emphasize the importance of communicating with your trading partner prior to leaving feedback. It will also urge members to make sure they have given their trading partner enough time to fulfill their obligations.

    3. Removing feedback ratings (not comments) left by buyers who don't participate in the Unpaid Item process for that item. In November we will begin automatically removing feedback ratings left by buyers who do not participate in the Unpaid Item process for that item. This means the rating (whether positive or negative) will not affect the recipient's feedback score. The feedback comment itself will remain and will include an administrative note from eBay indicating that the feedback rating was removed because the member did not participate in the Unpaid Item process.

    4. Removing feedback ratings (not comments) left by sellers who don't participate in the Item Not Received process. In order to remove feedback ratings left by sellers who do not participate in the Item Not Received processes we must first align the eBay and PayPal systems. Unfortunately, aligning the systems will take longer to complete than we had originally estimated. This component of the announced changes will be ready sometime in 2006.
