Atlanta Falcons

<< <i> It should be a great game. I'm a Falcons fan and being realistic, an argument can be made for either team to win. Vegas has neither team favored so you can’t get more evenly matched than that; I do think it will be a relatively low scoring game.

All I hear is it’ll be Vick vs. the Philly defense, but the Atlanta defense is under-rated. They looked great in preseason this year. I was at the Falcons Rams game last year (the regular season game) and the Dome was deafening. As the season went on, the Dome got louder and louder as the bandwagon got bigger. And you can be sure; it will be LOUD on Monday night!

23-20 Falcons >>

I think that was a pretty good prediction.

I could be an ass about this and quote almost every Eagle’s fan who said the Eagles would hang 28-38 points on this defense; now are you impressed with Atlanta's D? DeAngelo Hall WANTED to cover Owens in single coverage and although Owens caught 7 passes, none were big plays.

Go ahead and talk $hit about Vick, but the Falcons won. Up 14-0, the Falcons running game was potent enough to eat clock the rest of the way, and Vick was never “forced” to pass… what more can you ask from him?

The only play call on the Falcon’s behalf that I was pissed to see was the 3rd and goal from the 15 call where they called a passing play and Vick fumbled. They should have played more conservative, ran the ball and worst-case take a 17-7 lead at that point. But whatever, a win is a win.

And the surviving trend, superbowl losers are now 0-8 ATS in week 1.

Now the question is what are your new avatars going to look like? I’m still looking around image

Atlanta is not a powerful team. Bucs are licking their chops now. I could see a meeting between the two get very ugly like last years
    wood shed pounding.

    Dunn looked good

  • Falcons and Bucs will most likely split their series again this year.

WTF? Atlanta D looked great and running game had over 200 yds. Passing not too great, but Philly's secondary is good, plus the Falcons never trailed so they weren't under pressure... Bucs may have won too, but Atlanta looks waaaaaaaaaay better...

Well it was a sloppy game, but a hard fought game by both teams and I'll give the Falcons all the credit for coming out on top.

Note: I looked and could not find an Atlanta Falcons icon listed in the CU icon list? I thoroughly looked and couldn't find it? If someone can tell me what CU icon number to use for the Falcons, I will immediately use it. Or barring that, I will use any icon iamthegreatcornholio wants me to until next Sunday. If I get no response, I will post this Atlanta Falcons logo in all of my posts for the week.

FU********************K. Now I know a little bit how Kuhlmann felt last year! This is painful!!!

ha ha ha..that looks sweet steve...Vick is running around with a paddle looking for you..I told him to check under the bed!

Dunn had a good game and Vick was just too fast for the eagles...we know that when the bucs come to town Vick won't be able to
run like that.....then what? Hopefully the game in Tampa will actually be a game. As a NFC South fan, this is looking like a tough
    divison!!

  • I didn't see a Falcons avatar either Steve so posting that is fair.

I'll try to load one in there next upload day so you guys can have it later in the week. 1420sports too... I think you guys were the only two Eagles fan to step up to the plate.

The only reason Dunn was able to run wild was because of no Trotter in the middle. If you think otherwise, you are delusional.

If Trotter had been there, the atlanta running game gets shut down, and Dunn would have looked rather ordinary. As it was, they took advantage of a weakness and exploited it.

    Steve -

you could try this one that I put up last year.

It's the Falcons - who said it couldn't be modified?

    Look for "No Falcons"

<<< Look for "No Falcons" >>>

Keith - I have to leave the Falcons logo as is until kickoff time of the Eagles - 49ers game. But I looked up the "No Falcons" icon with the red line going through it and will definitely use it if the Falcons meet the Eagles in the playoffs, which of course has a very good chance of happening.

Da*n this is depressing - it didn't really fully hit me until this morning - the Eagles tough loss and then on top of that having to publicly display another team's logo in my posts image

    Congrats.

Getting back from Vegas last night, I was a little tired and watching the game didn't help. As soon as I walked in the door I found about Trotter - huge loss for the Eagles D. A hug from my son made up for it ...

Falcons looked good, not great. Both teams looked sloppy as a matter of fact.

No excuses here, but I will say this ....

THE EAGLES WILL BE IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

anybody mention the job hall did on owens? man owens got 112 yards but nothing to exciting hall did a heck of a job on owens. i have never seen a dback do that against owens. then at the end of the game he was letting owens have it. that was awesome!
