2006 Lunar Dogs - First Photos!

The Perth Mint just announced that the 2006 Lunar Coins will be released in late September, 2005. 2006 will be the "Year of the Dog" according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The silver coin will feature a German Shepherd and the gold coin will feature a Beagle.

I am seriously hoping that the Perth mint is not going to market 4 different versions of the lunar coin the following year. Just this year, if I am not wrong, the Perth mint marketed 4 different versions of the silver Lunar Monkey coin, one in color, one in proof and I can't remember the other two... and that set went for 200AUD... *pardon me* they have done it for both the monkey and the rooster.

It just makes it so wrong...
