New pics...

Still experimenting with lighting, camera settings, and whatnot... probably the most accurate color to date. There's still something off on the dark coppers; the color is perfect, but the glare is a bit much and the detail is lacking.

On the other hand, I really like the way the Hungarian Denar came out. I *love* those little coins!

More great pix of some beautiful coins!

I don't know if you read your last thread completely, but I suggest you post your unknowns from your website here, and I bet they'll be identified post haste.

The 1539 "unknown" is from Saxony's Albertine line (Sachsen-Albertinische Linie). It is likely a dreier (drei=three), more complete data here.

The 1556 uniface is also from one of the Saxonies (notice the arms at right).. I just don't know which right now.

The 1622 kreutzer has the shape of one made in Bamberg that year (see coin 3, here), but differs in the letter above the arms and the separation of kreut-zer. Can we make out any forms within the arms?

The 1694 silver is quite likely Lübeck, don't know any more than that though.

Gotta run now, but Jester's right.. make a thread for your unknowns, between all the experienced folks we have here it shoudn't be a problem to knock these out image

Yeah, I saw the suggestion, and appreciate the help. I'll probably start a thread on them, but first I need to track down the coins amongst all my piles of crap so I have them handy... image

    Thanks,

Update. I went back into Photoshop and lightened up the first two pics slightly, and converted all the backgrounds to solid white.

[All along I had been trying to get perfect pics without doing any adjustments to any images at all within Photoshop, i.e. get the photography right, but upon further reflection, I might as well avail myself of all of the tools available.]

Very nice and the pics are fantastic. I have trouble with the raw coins, but the come out better after they have been slabbed.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
