Cars..1950's???
Hey..I'm new to this msg. board. I picked up this Corvette card and a few others and dont know what they are. The look like they are from the 50's...the Vette is a 53-55 (body-style change in '56). Any help would be appreciated...a closer look shows perforation tabs on the edges as if they were connected.
Thanks!! (ps: I'd attach a scan but dont know how..any help would be appreciated)

"Premier trading cards are made for use in vending machines manufactured exclusively by the Oak Manufacturing Company, Inc., Culver City, California".
According to Sport Americana, there are 5 sets of these vending machine cards (they were not distributed or marketed in packs or with gum): Airplanes, Animals, Antique Autos, Birds and Dogs. However, I think your card and a few of mine are a sixth set which might aptly be called Modern Autos. Besides the 'vette, I have a Studebaker, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Simca and Ferrari 250 Mille Miglia. I got these cards years ago ('80s?) in a group of cards that also included a half dozen or so Antique Autos, which led me to believe that they were both issued the same way. Parkhurst did issue some of these cards in Canada with the same format.
Here is a scan of the back of my Corvette card; is yours different? I think I heard where Parkhurst reissued some of these cards; BTW, none of my cards have perforations. These Premier cards were boxed and loaded into vending machines where you could get one or a few for a penny or a nickle - they would slide out of the machine as a little stack of cards or one at a time, depending on how the machine was set up.
Welcome to the board, by the way. What do you collect?
