Hmm, I liked St. James Gate (and the black brew within), the O'Connell Bridge, the Book of Kells, Irish hospitality, sunset over Galway Bay, narrow roads winding through very green fields with meandering stone walls about, Irish humor, some (but not all) Irish sausages, and the lead singer of the Corrs.... and my forum name is a contraction of "Baile Atha Claithe" which is probably misspelled but is Irish for Dublin....

I can't say I particularly like the airport in Shannon (never been at the airport), but one of the things I liked best about Ireland was an ancient tower house just outside Shannon. It was so small, it only had one room per floor, was 3 stories tall, and had the original thatch and mud ceilings from 500 years ago. Pretty darn cool.

I also liked the Blarney castle, even though kissing the stone was a bit stange.

Guiness is my favorite. When my wife and I went to Dublin for our honeymoon, I practically got hammered at the bar inside the brewery. We were given two free pints each and my wife hates guiness beer, so needless to say I was toasted.image -Dan

    A little something I like that's Irish.

Hm. I like this. A lot.

Too bad it isn't mine anymore.

I'm also a big fan of Irish music. Especially the Chieftains. Clannad is good, too.

My surname is Irish, at least in its original "Sionnach" spelling. We Shinnicks are "The Munster Foxes". Sionnach abu!
