Anyone follow the 1966 Baseball war on E-Bay

For the past several weeks #1 and #2 in the set registry have been going at it hard. I am way down there so I look for table scraps. Anyway true commons with population 8 have sold for over $300. Hardly any 1/1 of 1/2 go for under $500. In the past two weeks there were an exceptionally high number of PSA 9's for sale which ended up making some sellers quite wealthy. There are still over 40 cards out there. The next battle will hit late Sunday evening and should continue for the following three nights.

I don't collect that set, so I hadn't noticed. However, I have seen the same guys buying and selling the 1935 National Chicle FB cards that I need. I think seeing the same guys buying the same year cards is a pretty common occurence on Ebay.
