Ebay question

Where's the link to find an eBay members phone number to call them about a problem?

The contact link I hit keeps just giving me an email address and I'd like to talk to the person directly.

Thanks, Shawn

  • Shawn,

just go to help and type in 'contact member' - you will need their ebay name and the transaction number. you and the other party will both be emailed each other's contact info, including phone number.

    Thank you so much!!
  • if you are the buyer on the auction, just hit I will send money order/cashier check in the payment screen. That is, if the seller isn't a Paypal only guy. Once you hit the screen for sending a money order/cashier check, the seller's information, including the phone number is there. Just don't hit that you are sending a money order or cashiers check if you aren't. I am sure the other method works too, sometimes this way is faster. You don't have to copy and paste the transaction #. So it's probably not much a big time saver after all.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    Thanks guys.

The first option worked great and everything is fine now.

I won an ebay auction on Labor Day and paid that night, kind of expected the item around today.

Instead, I received an email from the seller/UPS saying my item had just sent today. Problem was, the name/addy my item was being shipped to was not me!image

I thought instead of trying to explain things via an email, it might be best to just call and try to get it all straightened out. All is well now. Thanks again for your help.
