How many times can you check.........

I have been waiting for two invoices to finally get done. Over the past week I have checked both invoices at least 43 times a day. Is anyone getting any of there set registry invoices done in a three week period or less? Maybe I am impatient, but come on PSA throw me a bone.

You only check 43 times a day? I must check at least 143. image I feel your impatience. On my last three or four invoices, PSA has been lightening quick and spoiled me. I have one that was entered on August 26th and it now seems as if it will never be graded given my recent track record. It does not look like mine will pop today so I am crossing my fingers for Monday.
  • I almost hate to tell you this, but my last two invoices were done in 4 days and 3 days of receipt. This was in the last two weeks. Very quick turnaround. Are your subs on the special? Both of mine were. I don't know if that matters to PSA or not.

Well actually that is my problem as well. PSA has been doing such a good job turning these things around so quickly that I thought I would save some money and do a 4 card submission under the tallboy special instead of the $12/5 days. Now I would have rather paid the extra $25 to have them done by now. It always seems to be a longer wait when it is the good stuff.
    Waiting with patience,

  • Shane, I'm in the same boat. PSA has done such a good job on turnaround lately that I expected to get my grades in a week or two. I sent a modern and a vintage submission together and got the grades for the modern in 3 days. My vintage was entered on 8/17. It's a 45 day sub but again, they've spoiled me lately so I'm checking several times a day for the grades.

Ditto here. My last six or seven submissions over the last few months were done in record time....literally 3 to 5 days. Now I have one in, a vintage common submission, for two weeks now. I know they say 45 days, but based on their tremendous turnaround times previously, I am not used to waiting even two weeks!

This is why i spent the $12 per grade this time around because i got tired of checking 53 days later!!!
  • PSA has been excellent on the turn around times! I think they got bogged down with the two August specials at the end of the month. Don't forget this is the first time (in my memory anyway) that they offered a tallboy special. I'm sure the response was tremendous.

    Kudos to PSA.

  • I agree PSA has been great with turnaround times.

On the other hand, I wish they would slow down a bit cause the holders I am getting back have a bunch of scratches on them. This tells me they're either in a big hurry, or have a problem in the holdering process.

I am about to give up on mine, entered on August 26th and still no results. I was hoping it would pop today but it does not look like it will. PSA has spoiled me with their past speed on my prior invoices. It is now like the bottle has been taken away from the baby. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

For real! I've gotten used to two-week turnaround times thanks to the $12/5-day specials, but I've been checking multiple times per day on a bulk common (pre-'53) invoice. It's not even been four weeks, but I'm starting to think it's going to take the full 45 days. Oh well, life will go on.

  • Shane brutha, I think I remember something being said about tallboys taking alot longer to grade out.

    I can only assume they're 71 GM's.

    Scotty-
They are some GMs on this invoice. Pretty important ones I might add. I will let you and the whole world know once they hit.......if it is positive. Hope all is well.

I think part of it has to do with what's in the sub. This one just popped with a 4 day turnaround. all same cards from 1 set , probably gets bumped to the top of the list to get it out ofthe way since it is a simple order

Packcollector- Nice grades! I can't say that your theory is correct about having a quick turnaround time due to all the cards being from the same set. On one of my submissions I have all cards from the 1971 Topps Greatest MOments set......... 4 cards total. They can do that in 13 minutes.

  • what i hate is they get my submission aug 4 but don't say they have in their records, offically till aut 22 now i got to wait extra 3 weeks. Why didn't they process it sooner? Loop hole around gurantee turnaround time or get free submisions?
  • MeferMefer Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭
It is frustrating. But before going on, I will be the first to note I have applauded PSA on the boards recently for fast turn around times. My last three or four submissions before the one I am waiting on were very quick.

Now that I am having to wait again for this one, I am too getting frustrated. I have come to expect the faster turnaround times. However, I have no idea how busy PSA is or what exactly is the hold up. I think I probably speak for many when I say I would like to know how PSA figures out which order will be graded next. We have all been there where our submission sits in the corner gathering dust while others who submitted under the same price plan or special have their cards graded and back in their hands. How and why does this happen? Why is it not a first in, first out system per service level? Do graders have some discretion as to what order they can grade that day and in what order? I think answering these questions would be helpful

Again PSA, it is your fault for spoiling me with fast turnarounds before. image
