I am going tomorrow afternoon and maybe peek at the auction material. I am curious how the new show will be, particularly coming so close to Long Beach. If it's good I may go back on Saturday.

Is it likely that there will be some darkside stuff to look at and lust after?

This one isn't run by Seventh Day Adventists, is it? I'd like to be able to go on Saturday. image

This is an entirely new one - no association with the monthly ones at the Embassy Suites.

happy hunting to those that live in the area... attending coin shows is a great experience and I encourage everyone to attend.

I went yesterday, and again today to pick up an auction win. About 100 tables. The dealers were hurting I think. There may have been 10 actual collectors in the room each day when I was there. The dealers were either swapping inventory amongst themselves, or falling asleep at their tables. The perils of a new show, I guess.

The auction had some good stuff, but the in many cases the reserves were very high and the items went to the book.

That's disappointing, I was hoping it would be a good show.

I can understand the high auction reserves, after all, who wants to have their stuff sell for peanuts at a new show?

I ended up getting too busy to be able to go after all. It sounds like I wouldn't have done too well at the auction anyway.
