Westfalen Inflation Period Tokens
As a secondary interest, I collect the Westfalen inflation tokens by the Frenzel catalogue. I've always really liked this set and finally decided to spend a little money (equal to maybe 1 good national banknote) to put together a representative set in hgh grade.
At any rate, the 10,000 Mk and 50 Million Mk come with two edge varieties: breiten and schmalen Randstab. According to my notes I have both varieties of the 10,000 Mk but I just don't recall how I told them apart.
A while back Udo wrote me about these and indicated a 2 gm weight difference between the 2 varieties, but is there an easy visual cue that I can use to tell these apart? Also, the Frenzel cat is easy to use with my high school German, but is there a more definitive catalogue I should look for (providing, of course, it has more varieties to look for!)
Finally, I'm looking for a high grade 2 million mk in aluminum to finish my basic type/denomination set before launching into the more arcane, valuable varieties.
Thanks!
