Bad Dealers

What is it about this hobby that seems to attract bad dealers?
I just bought a handful of raw '76 raw star cards from a dealer through Beckett.com. All cards were specified NM, and he sends me junk that has creases and rounded corners.
So I send him three extremely polite emails telling him my problem and asking him what I should do. I even sent the emails from two different accounts.
Nothing.

Is honesty a premium in this hobby or what?

Anyone else have any experiences with bad dealers?

I bought a 1976 set about 3 years ago from Superior Sportscards Auction in (NM/MT) condition. When i received the set about 40% were diamond cut. I was not very happy . No mentioning of this in their auction description when i won the set. Most of the Star cards were not affected, but overall it was still very dissappointing.

I bought 5 raw cards from a dealer recently. 4 were descibed as NM and 1 as Good. I've been looking for the 1 good for about 4 years so I settled for it. The 4 NM were right one, but the good had multiple creases, soft corners and more damage. Card was at best poor. I guess I'm still looking for the card.
