I am woking on a complete run of Topps George Brett cards. I am not looking for 9's or 10's as I dont want to spend a fortune but am just wanting nice cards with NQ of my all-time favorite player.

Here are my needs:

1978 #100
1980 #450
1982 #200
1984 #500
1985 #100
1986 #300
1987 #400
1988 #700
1989 #200
1990 #60
1991 #540
1992 #620
1993 #379

If you have any of these shoot me an email with grade/price.

Thanks in advance
Bill

  • 1976 Brett PSA 8

Above is a link to one I have in my store. I will give you free shipping if you want it. It is a real nice card. I thought I had a good chance at a PSA 9 when I submitted it.

  • BRAVES,
I do have any Brett cards, but I want to note that is very strange that most cards ended in zero and most an evn hundred number. Good luck with those cards.

I have several cards that might help you:

    1986 Topps PSA 8
    1991 Topps PSA 8
    1992 Topps PSA 8
    1992 Topps PSA 9
    1993 Topps PSA 9

If you are interested, send me an e-mail at pebblyjack@sunflower.com and I am sure that we can reach some kind of arrangement. I also have another 20 or so non-Topps and Topps secondary Bretts in PSA 8 and PSA 9.

CoachTom, from at least the mid-70s through the early 90s Topps numbered their cards based on an informal "star" system. Minor stars might have a number ending in 5. Stars would have a number ending in 0. Bigger stars would have a number ending in 50. Megastars would have numbers ending in 00. According to Topps at least, Brett was a star and most years a megastar. (Brett's 1979 card is #330 and his 1981 card is #700). Guys like Rod Carew, Reggie Jackson, Mike Schmidt, Johnny Bench, and other marquee players often had cards ending in 00 during the same time period. For example, in 1981, Carew was 100, George Foster was 200 (at the time he was huge), Paul Molitor was 300, Reggie Jackson was 400, Jim Rice was 500, Johnny Bench was 600, and Brett was 700. In 1982 it was Schmidt, Brett, Jackson, Bench, Carew, Winfield, and Foster.

    Thanks

I'll pass....more than I am wanting to spend. I'm not big into grades so a 6 or 7 in that year would work for me.

    Thanks

I have multiple PSA graded copies of the 1977 Brett 7 thru 9 (and even one 10!). image It sounds like you are in need of a 7 or 8? PM me and maybe we can work something out.

Not a Topps issue, but I do have a 1982 Spotbilt of Brett in a PSA 7. It's far more rare than any Topps issue. I'd give you a good deal on it if you were interested, just PM me.

I'm not looking for "rare". Just base Topps cards I have listed.

    Thanks anyway
