Seller smsportscards. Have you delt with?

I won one of his auctions on 20Aug05. Sent payment on 22Aug05 (postal money order). Have not received card as of 7Sep05 and have not been able to contact seller. Tried phoning, emailing and no response. Has anyone delt with Shane Madsen in Montana a Power Seller on ebay with a 99.1% feedback rating. Has no listings at the moment on ebay. Is it too early to panic over this transaction? Havlicek RC PSA 8 and my $332 seems to have vanished.

Andy Madec is andymadec, one of the PSA authorized heavyweights for some time now and a very reputable dealer. Just stating the facts that I purchased a card from him on Ebay and my emails and phone calls have gone unreturned, but he still finds the time to list more stuff. Just letting the original poster use it as a gauge...

Just reached the seller about my Havlicek card. He said he mailed it out on 2Sep. I should be getting it by the end of the week.

Jad22, I was really expecting to be outbid on the Havlicek card. $325 was my max bid. If I decide to sell it someday I will keep you in mind. Always open to offers I can't refuse.

I hear ya!

I've bought on and off, from andymadec for years now, and also bid and won some auctions from andymedac on ebay! I do not remember if he had sloooooooooo delivery habits or being unresponsive to me but I do know I've always enjoyed receiving 100% of my purchases and items won from andymedac!

edit: P.S. After saying that, no matter how big or busy a seller gets, and no matter how wonderful a seller's material may be, does not excuse being slow, or not responding to eMails from customers.

Andy has an aol email address and has even been deleting my mail now. If he wants a battle, he'll get one. Nice to see a sellers big ads in SMR and the guy doesnt even have the decency to answer your mail after paying with a money order that was cashed over one month ago (since he won't take paypal). Not ONE member of this board should ever get ripped off by a seller who advertises in PSA's SMR.........

I was getting ready to lay a big ole gripe on this subject until i saw my girlfriend just walk in the door with some MG (.:2Beer in the bag.
A couple of . should make me forget what it was i was going to gripe about.

I have had a problem lately with people deleting my emails also. I am not a computer genius, but, with the days of SPAM sometimes people delete their SPAM folder without looking. I think Andy Madec is a pretty good guy and I can't see him avoiding you intentionally. Try and give him a phone call and see what happens.....(805) 987-3055. I know it is a little extra work on your part, shouldn't be that way, but I hope it works for you.

No problem on the tread
Called his number already and have left voice mails. No response

Have emailed through Ebay numerous times using the "ask seller a question" from the completed auction. No response

Have emailed through Ebay on his new auctions stating the problem. No response

Have emailed through aol, which is the address he uses on his ads in SMR, putting a title in the subject matter so it gets past the aol spam blockers (I have aol also). No response and the email deleted

The last response I had from him was from Steve Dunkle stating they had been doing shows, apologized for the delay, and the card would go out first thing in the morning and I would have to sign for it. No problem but that was well over 3 weeks ago.....

I'll take out a web page so the first time anyone does a search on Andy Madec Sportscards, my page will be the first to come up. Maybe others will pay attention when they have documented proof what type of a business person he is and how he treats his customers that have already paid, and he has thier money but never sends a card or answers any type of communication. We are not talking about Nomar, or GemGrading here. This is the guy advertising a full page on page 2 of the SMR telling of his "integrity". Yeah, right.............

I just received an answer this morning from Ebay dispute (don't know why he couldnt have answered my calls or emails) saying the card would be REshipped and I would have to sign for it. I heard over 3 weeks ago that it was being shipped and I would have to sign for it, yadda yadda yadda, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt one more time.....

Powersellers usually aren't the fastest shippers. Some are, but most aren't IMO. Anytime you send a money order it always takes longer. About three days for the person to get the money orders, then they have to go cash it, and then mail your stuff. That's why paypal is a much faster payment method. However, three weeks is pushing it. Keep us updated.
