i suppose law of averages had to make graders CUT you some slack somewhere huh? okay, "cut some slack" may not of been best wording.

Everything, with the exception of the 57 Berra, which I thought was a 7, is a friends. I submitted all of it for him. He bought a huge collection from a guy and was getting killed reselling it. I am VERY surprised the 57's came back miscut (The Berra is from the local card shop) Everything else is from the same guy. He made a killing on the 52 Mantle as he only paid SMR 4 money for it, I thought it would be fine in a 5 holder, I am a bit surprised at a 6, but centering and eye appeal are all good. The 2 altered cards, tough to say on those as I have no idea. I took the cards from him, put them under a halogen light and measured centering and sent them off. I told him the grades I thought they would get, I did quite well aside from not catching the altered and miscut cards. The 57 Williams I thought was a lock 6 and centering is perfect. The miscuts will get measured up again and might get resubmitted. As for the rest, he'll do well with the PSA 6 57 Koufax, 52 Bowman Mantle and even the 9OC Bird/Johnson/Erving. I was hoping they'd just put it in a straight 8 holder as it's less than 2% from 9 centering...ah well... The Feller and Reese both have some black spots, like mildew or something on them, I wasn't sure if those would even get holdered, but being they "book" $500 and $1k, he wanted to try and holder them...so that's what we did.
By the way, there was nothing "Trimmed", just 4 miscuts and 2 altered cards. I'll have to look at the 2 altered cards a bit closer and see...hopefully they'll do me a favor and just put the sticker with the arrow and point it out for me.
