Are there any good card shops near the strip in Vegas?

Heading out on Thursday. If I win some coin maybe I'll treat myself to something nice. Let me know. Thanks.

I thought a board member here had a store in Vegas. KarlMaloneSay or something like that.
  • I'd just Google 'Las Vegas' and 'sportscards' if I were you... take the Skins minus the points big vs the Bears and that rookie QB Orten, take the Rams too, they'll pistol-whip San Fran... both are winners.

    Good Luck!

  • Anyone hear anything from Jason ?? His site is still up but is kind of outdated. He's got his Ebay auctions still up and running.

    What ever happened to KallMaloneSay?

He used to post here all the time...does his shop still exist?

There is a place called Playball - he has a little vintage, but mostly deals in autographed material. It's over on Spring Mtn. Rd.

The other one I've been to is on Maryland Parkway (I think just south of Flamingo). When I go, I stay at the Sahara - IIRC, it's only a five-minute drive or so. Can't remember the name of the store, but it's on the left hand side of the street. The guy there is pretty cool - decent pricing on vintage, but don't expect a lot of high-grade stuff.

  • Yes, Jason is still open at Baseball Card Heaven. He's at the corner of Maryland Pkwy and Flamingo (right next to UNLV). Matt and Mike, also board members (but haven't posted in quite a while), have a store called Dreamcards which is located at the Southwest corner of Sunset and Eastern. There's also a shop located inside the Stratosphere called Sports N' More. Unfortunately, they tend to be a little on the high side so I don't frequent them too much. Happy hunting and good luck in the casino's! image

  • Scott (fsjeter) also sent me a PM with his cell # saying give him a call if I needed any help locating some of the shops. FWIW, that's what this board is all about. A person who I wouldn't know from Adam offering their time and assistance to me. It's not the back and forth attacks that go on here from time to time. (happily they seem to have died down recently)

Sorry for the rant, I just felt compelled by a really nice gesture. Scott, thanks again.

I can't wait to see Big Elvis at the Barbary Coast!

    Take care.

If you walk up and down the strip you'll get handed a whole bunch of trading cards for free!
