I would bid but I was looking for 2500 of his 1987 Topps card and this guy only has 2378 of them. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait.

Fleer plans to auction off some of its remaining memorabilia in September to pay a list of creditors that includes dozens of professional athletes.

I thought $25 game tickets, $5 hotdogs, $7 beer were for paying the athletes? I guess $5 packs of cards were for paying the athletes as well.

I could care less about todays athlete or the industry of greed that feeds off of them.

    Loves me some shiny!

what about $30 hats, $125 sneakers, and $150 jerseys? what about fast food, soda, and shaving cream commercials?

there's too many sources of revenue to list. that's why when some jerkoff like T.O. who has money coming out of his ears says he needs a bigger contract because he needs to "feed his family" I roll on the floor laughing.

The article mentions Topps as being around since the 50's. I know they started making baseball cards in the 50's, but I thought they were around before then--like the 30's or something. Anyone know officially?
