Selling my 1971 Topps baseball registry set

Struggled with the decision for a while. A long while. Then my season ticket bill arrived last week for Red Sox playoff tickets this year...

Also realized it's just too big for me to complete, and instead want to focus finishing and upgrading my 1959 Fleer Williams set. 80 cards is a bit more managable...

I have posted the auction on buy/sell boards here

1971 Set for sale

I'm quite bummed about having to do this, as it is the first set I ever collected as a kid, contains the first cards I ever sent in for grading, and next to the 59 Williams, is by far my favorite overall set. But the Sox playoff tickets have to come first, which coincidently cost almost exactly what I expect/hope to get for the set. So I can at least take comfort in the knowledge that they're going to win the WS again this year, and I wouldn't want to miss that.

Many thanks to everyone who helped out with the set, and best of luck to everyone working on it now.

  • Best wishes with the set dg, and I certainly hope you are right about the Sox winning the Series again, but the pitching needs to pick it up, especially Schill and Foulke down the stretch.
