Cowboys WR's... the Over-The-Hill Gang

Keyshawn Johnson, Terry Glenn and now Peerless Price? This could be the worst assortment of washed up receivers ever assembled on an NFL team. Julius Jones is gonna have to do an awful lot of running this year. But with defenses not respecting this group of washed up receivers, teams are going to key in on Jones beyond belief. Cowboys will windup with one of the the lowest scoring offenses in the entire NFL.

Isn't that what happened last year ? Last i checked Julius had one heck of a season.

Also, if your going to bash our recieving corps, lets not forget we have the best pass catching Tight End in our division.

sorry but glenn is still very good. once owens starts up his garbage again and you know its coming, the eagles will be left with nothing at wr!
meshawn can still make thoose 3rd down catches over the middle. witten is a pro bowl te. and on price who knows what we got. maybe the guy from the bills or maybe he just doesnt have it anymore. dont matter to me bc i like the crayton kid anyway, he is solid!

TO will not act up again ... I have heard that Simon being let go will enable the Eagles to take care of Westbrook, give a little more to Akers, and appease TO.

Crayton is good, looks like a real NFL WR. Keshawn and Glenn do not worry me ... especially with Bledsoe.

How is the Dallas O-line looking?

  • Crayton is going to step up this year!!!! He showed his potential last year. The key will be the O-line. That D is getting better every week and they just got Ferguson and Spears back. So watch out here come the Cowboys!!!

o line will be fine. rivera is back now. jones rushed for 75 yards in 1q againsy jville. not worried at all the defense is gonna be scary just added a tackling machine from the chiefs scott fujita.
  • Is it me, or are Cowboy fans among the most biased sports fans on earth? Man, I know many of them in this area and they are all the same....Aikman is best ever, Emmitt is best ever etc.... Every new guy they add is the second coming. Where do the Cowboys fans come from?? My guess is that they come full of arrows in their buttocks, from the badnwagon jumping of either the late 70's or mid 90's. They seem to have this insatiable need to be associated with the best, thus the bandwagon hopping, and thus 'second coming' of everyone they add to their team. I wonder how many Cowboy fans outside of Texas existed in 1971?? Then measure that in 1979. Then measure that in 1994.

I know one guy who is in his mid 30's who's all-time favorite teams are the Celtics, Dodgers, Cowboys, and Notre Dame, and he lives in Illinois. Yeah, he was a die hard sports fan of those teams and stuck with them even after they had lean years, but it was obvious he did some hopping in his formidable years when picking his teams. All those years he never watched a Hockey game, and then one time in 1986 a couple of us asked him who his favorite Hockey team was. His reply? THE EDMONTON OILERS!!! Go figure.
  • There are no bandwagon fans here, just die hard fans. We have stuck with our team through the good and the bad. And at least we have a history to have bandwagon fans. Not many other teams have as many Superbowl rings as the Cowboys. Just about every team have bandwagon fans.

Where you going with this post? who is your team? I have been a cowboy fan my whole life. born in 73 started watching football in 1980 from what i can remember. always been a cowboy fan. sat through there 1-15 season and last 5 years of complete sh$t football. what are we not supposed to be happy when they win a superbowl?

yes when they add a lb that has over 100 tackles a year i think its a good pickup... I never said he was the best nor did i say that about price. but they are good additions to the team. cowboys will start the season off 2-2 then from there i should know if they are contenders the rest of the way.
  • Jumping on the bandwagon, and staying on the bandwagon are two different things. Kuhlman, did you grow up in Texas? If you started watching football in 1980 and became a fan, then that is what I am saying. I highly doubt that if you were born in 1963 and started watching football in 1970 that you would have become a Cowboy fan(probably would have been a GB fan). They were the most popular team of the 70's, even more popular than Pittsburgh. What drew the people to them? They were popular, hence the bandwagon jumping began. Sure, many have stayed on throught the slimmer 80's, and kudos for not getting off the bandwagon, but the initial jump was a bandwagon jump.

Kuhlman, I'm not going anywhere as per who got picked up, but just on observation on the dynamics of fans.

Every fan knows a few fans who do come out all of a sudden and start rooting for a team ... more often than that it is the Cowboys.

I know two Cowboys fans very well ... one liked the 49ers in the late 80's (college years), and the other was a Giants fan. Amazingly, they were both "longtime Cowboy fans" when I caught up with them in the early 90's ...

I think it depends also on what area of a state you are brought up in. For instance I have a good friend, my fraternity roommate from Penn State and a fellow baseball card collector, who grew up and still lives in Harrisburg Pennsylvania which is about 100 miles from Philly and I think about 300 miles from Pittsburgh - he is neither a big Philadelphia or Pittsburgh fan. In fact a number of people from that area are Baltimore fans because Baltimore isn't that far away from Harrisburg.

As far as the Cowboys, yes they have SOME talent but still not nearly enough to beat the Eagles. Eagles will sweep them again this season and even easier than last season.

You will all be priviledged starting next Monday Night, to witness the start of the Eagles march to winning the Super Bowl. Parade down Broad Street here we come!

    Go Eagles!!!!!
  • No way the Eagles sweep the Boys this year, and they are not going to the Superbowl. Just the toliet bowl because they are sh%t.

It's not the Cowboys fault they have such a rich history of winning. We will see how many Eagles fans hurt their ankles jumping off the Eagles bandwagon when they start losing.
