Gold coin giveaway --- Winners in first post

I am holding a gold coin giveaway in support of my current eBay auctions.
To enter, just post a reply. Also, if any forum member bids on one of my current auctions, they will be given two chances to win. For example, spinaker2000 has bid on my Canadian Token, his name will be entered twice in the 'hat'. If someone bids on more than one coin, or more than once on a single coin, each bid will be counted as two entries into the giveaway.
At the close of the auctions, I will click on the bidder list to see who has bid. This will be the only determination on which forum members have placed bids. I am familiar with many of the member's eBay user ID but if you bid on one or more of my auctions, please PM me your eBay ID.
At the end of all the auctions on Sept 11th, I will give each entry, both from here and the bidders list, a number. The winner will be chosen by a Random Number generator and annouced on 9/11 or 9/12. All reply entries must be made by 8 PM Eastern on Sept 11, 2005.
The winner will receive a BU Canadian 1/10 oz. gold coin. Currently this is valued at approx $44.
The second name chosen will win a France 1856 5 Francs gold coin with a small hole at 12:00.
Only one coin per winner.
If any forum member is the winning bidder of one of my coins, he or she will also receive a bonus coin, most likely slabbed, in addition to their winnings.
If you have any questions about this giveaway, please PM me.
Note: only one entry per person by replying to this thread.
Winners:
1st: Shiro
2nd: Bailathacl
Thanks to all who entered and to all who bid.

Neat contest! I'll check out the coins on eBay, too, but at least here's a shot at a coin via the "reply" route. It would be my first ever gold coin, but not for lack of trying on these Forum giveaways! Thanks!

I would do away with this portion, otherwise someone could sit there and put in bids at the minimum increment just to have that many more chances, without ever really intending to win the coin. For example, the 1887 Crown will obviously end for considerably more than $51.00. Once could sit there doing minimum increments up to $80 or $90 just to get entries in the giveaway...

Coinpictures, you forget the code of the Darkside Circle of Trust. We don't do such things around here.

You are correct. I thought of this when I first made the giveaway up but I am counting in the integrity of the forum members not to do this. Perhaps I am too naive in this aspect.
Members of the darkside, PLEASE don't increase the bid increments by the minimum bid just to enter the giveaway. I and many of the other members trust you not to do this. Thanks.
