Favre - Tough, Scared, or Too Proud?

Was watching highlights of last night's Packer preseason game...Favre takes a shot, hurts his ankle so the future QB comes in, does well, and then Favre makes his way back into the game?
To me that just reeks of personal pride...it's a meaningless preseason game, but you are going to further subject yourself to possible injury when it means nothing for fear of the backup looking good?
Anyone else pick up on this? Or is it just me?

Sherman should have not let him back in the game, let alone start the game. The final preseason game is one where starters SHOULD NOT PLAY.
or next week. Oh and in case you think he is overrated..check the fingers...yep
Ill take a future HOF'er who gives 110% over 3/4ths of the leagues starters

Who said he was overrated? I was simply pointing out he got hurt in a meaningless preseason game, and yet he felt the need to come back in further subjecting that injury?
It would have been one thing if this game meant something...but this was all about HIM and his trying to show everyone how tough he is. He would have shown he was being a team player by allowing the backup to get in some more reps.
Playing in the 4th preseason game is ididotic.
That being said - Favre going back in is what made him great - at the very least he wants to set an example for the rest of the team that if you get nicked up during a game, that is no reason not to go back in. Going back in that game was simply classic Favre. Again though...poor coaching...he definitely of course should not have been allowed back in.
as far as Favre, if he is QBing last year in the super bowl instead of McQuit, the eagles would be looking at rings right now

Joe, you make me laugh. Someone points out what an idiot you are, and you have to go and "bash" another player. I wish I had the time or desire to paste all of the anti-Favre comments you have made in the past. Axtell asks a question (one which has complete merit) and you forget to realize that it is a preseason game. It is obvious that Favre runs the team, but if he would have been hurt on the next play Sherman would have been lambasted. I could only imagine your comments then ...
Do you know the nature sports? I am not talking about stats, rings, championships, etc. Serious question by the way. Your reasoning and rationale is subpar, and I have to laugh when I read your posts.
No one was busting on Favre, so there is no smack here.
McChoke? McNad? McQuit? His name is McNabb ... you and your alter ego what's his face (the other redneck with the Florida St. icon) would have much more credence if you use his given name.
Do you sport a mullet?

Who's the other 25%?
And I bet Joe would have been here crucifying Sherman if Favre had gotten hurt in that game saying things like 'why did he leave him in there! It's only a preseason game!'
