    Just a defect really. I suppose they're aren't many of them, but that's because there shouldn't be, according to mint quality control anyway. You could probably squeeze an extra buck or two from it on ebay.

    Allthough the scan isn't real good,
    I'd say it's a slightly improper copper
    plated planchet.....

    Fairly "common", even for Proofs,and Ebay would be
    the best venue for an item like this......
