Making a love token. Where do I start?

OK. She's special. I know it. SHE knows it. I can't think of a better, more personal gift from me to her than a hand made personally engraved love token. I have some crusty old Washington quarters that are perfect for the job and a nice rotary tool to do it with, but no real idea where to start. I've been looking at love tokens on ebay for a while to get an idea for design, but if anybody happens to know a website featuring love tokens or instructions on how to make them I'd appreciate it.
