Greetings darkside dwellers - pretty cool 1967 proof Canadian Dollar I picked up today.

Hit a local shop and was so desperate to buy something I ended up with a 1967 Canadian proof set. Here's the Dollar:

Are the other coins in the set toned? Many of these sets have great toning.

There ain't no such thing as a 1967 proof set!

If it came in the black leather case with a $20 gold piece, it's a specimen set. If it came in a red and white cardboard box it's a prooflike set (ditto if it came in a pliofilm pouch).

Both cases tended to tone the coins, and all the silver coins in an old specimen set I picked up were almost black (midnight blue, I guess).

The toning looks nice on yours. image

It's in a Whitman plastic holder. Label said proof set. Shows you how much I know! image

I love those. I've run across a few but nothing yet that said "buy me". That one could have done it. Very nice.

Russ, you have to learn to write like a gray sider. It's a 50 cent piece, not a half. It's a 25 cent piece, not a quarter. image

    Now you're talkin'! image

They look like specimens, but it may just be your masterful photographic technique.
