$10 a oz,and stays there for awhile...Does your garden variety $50 MS morgan go to just $53 or $55, or higher ?

It may go up a little, but since the coin only will have less than $8 worth of silver, I doubt that you will see much difference in the price.

The market forces that would drive up silver and gold would also drive up the prices of rare coins. They are all tangible assests after all. War, inflation, etc could cause this senario.

There is a complicated psychological relationship between the price of a
commodity and things made from it. The only direct relationship on a $50
Morgan would be if silver exceeded about $70 per ounce at which point
it would have to go up. At lower prices your guess is as good as anyone's
and mine isn't there'd be little or no impact until silver hit about $25.

There are too many variables though it seems unlikely history will repeat
like in the '70's where such coins seemed to keep a close correlation with
silver price. This was caused by the massive profits dealers were making
by brokering silver between the public and agents for the long futures con-
tracts. The public no longer has large amounts of silver so this is unlikely
to reoccur.

Hmmm.... I think $10 silver may be a little premature. After todays precious metals performance, looks like silver is wheezing on it's uphill climb.....

But in spirit of your question, I think the Morgans will increase also. Not very high though.
