proof set help (green box)

I bought some proof sets from the 1980's & 1990's at an auction and they came in a green box. I have been collecting for a long time and for the life of me, I can't think of a time that I ever saw this. What is the difference between these and the "blue box sets"????
Thanks,
Joe

The PROOF sets from the late 80s and early 90s came in green cardboard boxes.

Is that what you are referring to or are the individual boxes in a larger green box?

each proof set is in a green box. exactly like the dark blue ones today. I really can't remember ever seeing a green one. Maybe this is just an old age thing for me. I also turned 48 on Saturday too!!!!!
  • The 1984-1992 proof sets should have come in purple boxes and the 1993-1998 proof sets should have come in green boxes. Also, the paper holders that secure the coins inside the plastic holders should be the same color as the outer boxes.
