Where is the love for Sweet Lou?

As has been reported over and over by the east coast biased media, the Tampa Bay D'rays have the best record since the all-star break. In the early parts of the season, the D'rays were awful, and many in the mainsteam media have asked for Pinella to be fired. He was seen as done, tired, whatever...his attempt at shaking things up by saying he would switch the starters and relievers was the last.

Now, the D'rays have improved (and how could they not?), and have put together a nice run. Where's the love for Pinella now? Why aren't these same critics who were saying the fault with the team lied with Lou now calling out the praise for him?

The media has no conscious. If they did...they would question their own credibility. They just go on to the next mud slinging saga. Lou is solid and the ultimate competitor. IMO.

Lou Piniella is a great manager. Guillen will probably get the AL Manager of the Year but I think Sweet Lou will get the runner up. Piniella takes losing teams and makes them into winners, something like Billy Martin, not as fast, but no self destructing tendencies either. He won a World Series with the Reds as well as having the most wins for an AL regular season (sorry Axtey, no ring for you). I think there is a possibility that some day he might get voted into the HOF for his managerial record.
