Super nice coin here is well-struck and lustrous with good color (better than the photos). Obverse is a
light-to-medium gold with some subtle rose inside the lower-left rim. Reverse is gorgeous with light gold,
rose, nickel blue and a deeper golden sunset halo over Monticello.
This coin has not been sent into PCGS for the proper Rev '40 designation since they began differentiating
between the two reverses two or three years ago. It is guaranteed to be Rev '40 (straight/strong steps)
and is scarce as such, with virtually all of the 1938-1964 FS Registry sets including a more common Rev '38
example (it's possible that at least a couple of these are also undesignated Rev '40 coins).
The last coin sold at Heritage was an example sold on July 21, 2004 for $1,437.50, which sold again (same
coin) on Dec 10, 2004 for $2,415.00. Another example was paired with a 63-P 66FS coin on March 27, 2004
and sold for $3,565.00.
This coin is certainly one of the better Rev '40 66FS coins existing and there is only a lone 67FS out there at this point.
First $3,000 takes it, or will consider offers. Paypal, checks or money-orders. 10-day return privelege.

Thanks for looking!
